JAMES Minor children TO: Joseph James, father of the following children: a male child born to the biological mother, Moshimalee Johnson on or about April 23, 2005, in Durham County, North Carolina; a male child born to the biological mother, Ms. Johnson on or about June 14, 2007 in Durham County, NC; a male child born to the biological mother, Ms. Johnson on or about June 4, 2008, in Durham County, North Carolina; a male twin child born to the biological mother, Ms. Johnson on or about March 23, 2012, in Durham County, North Carolina; a female twin child born to the biological mother, Ms. Johnson on or about March 23, 2012, in Durham County, North Carolina. All of the children have been placed in the custody of the Durham County Department of Social Services since July 28, 2014. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a motion or petition has been filed by the Durham County Department of Social Services for the purpose of terminating your parental rights to the above named minor child. You must prepare and file with the Clerk of Superior Court of Durham County a written answer to the petition within forty (40) days of the first date of publication (written below). You must also serve a copy of the answer on the petitioner's attorney (address below). If you fail to file an answer, your parental rights may be terminated. The petitioner will apply to the court for the relief demanded in the motion or petition. You are entitled to attend any hearing affecting your parental rights. You are entitled to have an attorney appointed by the court if you cannot afford one, provided that you request an attorney at or before the time of the hearing. You may contact the Clerk of Superior Court immediately to request counsel. There is no attorney appointed to represent you in this proceeding unless ordered by the court.
